I will be out of the classroom on Friday afternoon for an appointment. Mrs. Brooks will be wrapping things up on Friday afternoon in my stead.
Please make sure that students are reading every day during the break. AR points aside, fluency in reading is the most important indicator of future academic success.
Students should also be working diligently on note-taking for their state report. In class we have completed:
- temperature line graph
- precipitation bar graph (some students didn't finish and need to do it on their own).
Additionally, among other items, we will work on the following in class:
- pie chart of occupations
- driving directions from SJ to their state capital.
Students should bring their "blue folders" with all State Report materials to and from school daily.
Enjoy some family fun over the break.
