....with the sound of MUSIC! Our new music teacher, Miss Ramona Rivera, joined us Friday. She brought her computer, taught the students a new song, had them select accompaniment, percussion & a baseline, and then put it all together. It was terrific and their classroom teacher was grinning wildly in the back of the room.
No math homework this weekend as we ease in to our homework requirements. Please ensure that your child takes a minimum of 30 minutes out of every day to enjoy some reading. For those reluctant readers, remember it does not have to be in one solid block. 3 x 10 or 2 x 15 works just fine.
White envelopes should be returned on Monday, dated with a parent signature. There were two half sheets in this week's packet, so check the bottom carefully.
I look forward to seeing everyone on this Tuesday (Aug 23) at 6:30. Mrs. Mollie Pine will be opening the science lab and I encourage you to head down to E14 when you are not hearing about our program in A1.
Enjoy the weekend!
