Up before the sun as I ducked over the hills to Palo Alto and all was very quiet in the early morning. It took a while for the girls cabins to quiet down, but the boys were out very quickly.
Today's activities include the "Picnic Hike" for some of the groups with a 3-4 mile hike up to a chaparelle. The other groups will be doing studies closer to camp including a river study of macro-invertebrates, investigation of decomposers (Nature's FBI - Fungus, Bacteria & Insects), and work in Professor Hummingbird's beautiful garden.
Your children are cleaning cabins, fetching food, bussing tables, sweeping floors and many other household activities throughout the day. They are such a competent bunch!
