Parents,
I'm quite certain that you would be astonished by your children's depth of thinking and inquiry. I remain confident that if they continue to question, explore, and solve as they are in 5th grade that our world is in excellent hands.
This afternoon was a volley of ideas, questions and answers as we dove into life in the middle ages, how history impacts modern day, and historical misconceptions. We read Riding the Tiger this morning and delved into the ideas, metaphors, and themes of that rich and beautifully illustrated story. Shifting gears in math, we looked at the impact of parentheses on operations. We dipped our toe into our latest science topic: severe weather. I invite you to enjoy this video, which we found both informative and entertaining, with your child.
