Well, it had to end sometime and the hot weather and familiarity seems to have signaled the end of the A-1 honeymoon period...as expected. ;)
Today we reviewed out "ticket system". Students will earn tickets for a number of things including:
- signed forms/white envelopes
- completed and signed planners
- ready & reading the minute D.E.A.R* time starts
Student will lose tickets for:
- not being ready to read out-loud during shared reading
Tickets will be redeemed for minutes of P.A.T (Preferred Activity Time) on pre-arranged days. Additionally the students will be able to redeem tickets for homework passes.
I am currently negotiating the value of currency with the students and taking their suggestions for P.A.T options.
