The students and I look forward to Mondays when we will spend third period in the science lab with Mrs. Pine. Yesterday was no exception and we examined the differences between chemical and physical digestion with 7-UP and crackers. It was messy but fun.
Today is a very strange day. We have no math switch (therefore no math homework) due to a district assessment. The students will enjoy an Art Vista lesson this afternoon making personal totems. The totems my sons made during their fifth grade year hand in my kitchen and are a happy reminder of their last year in elementary school.
I encourage everyone to attend tonight's PTA meetings about budget recommendations. The PTA leadership has worked very hard to create a proposal that suits the needs of our community and the economic realities of both school funding and the community at large. They have consulted with our administration, parents & teaching staff.
