Mrs. Boyce's classroom contains many of the same things that our class in A1 does such as maps, cues about good writing, information about math, historical timelines and much more. On some of the desks, you can see the letters that we sent to the boys. With 16 students in the class (2 were absent), each person gets a double desk. The desks are sturdy wood with benches and still have the holes for inkwells that were once used in them. It makes for a lovely amount of working space for each student!
The students have been working for the last 2 years towards an award health in fitness. In the first year, they focused on the quality of food they were eating, especially in their lunches. In the second year, the worked on fitness in a number of areas. Here you see the raising of the flag they were awarded in recognition of their work.
Green Team!
Just like Los Alamitos, students are St. Coleman's work towards keeping a "green" school environment. Being a smaller school, the grounds aren't as big as Los Alamitos, but, in addition to keeping their school immaculate, there are a number of vegetable garden boxes at the front of the school. The school flies a flag that proclaims their efforts to keep their school environment "green".

Around the school is a wall that is cheerfully painted with murals all the way around the school property.
It was an incredible opportunity to meet Mrs. Boyce and her class. My mom and I were treated with great kindness and I am so pleased to have met our friends from St. Coleman's National School.
