Everyone seemed a little groggy this morning, so perhaps an early bedtime is in order tonight. That said, students came in and jumped right in to the routine, demonstrating focus and great work habits.
Today, in math, we unwrapped the link between fractions and our beloved division symbol (÷) to which we are starting to bid a long good-bye. We poured over district writing standards and examined exemplary introductions, conclusions, and word choices. Later on, we used our understanding of European explorers, cursory American history, dictionaries, and atlases to being developing our concept of this nation's colonial period.
