It's a light homework night, so please ask your child to make sure that they read for at least 30 minutes. It does not have to be all in one sitting (3 x 10 minutes = 30 minutes)
The day started off with a little bit of grammar, then we were busy with more hands on work with volume today. We spent a couple of delicious periods diving into the resources used by Native American tribes in the northern parts of the world (Alaska, Canadian Arctic, Russia, etc). We read a bit from our novel, Morning Girl, which is thick with figurative language.
We worked on finishing up our autobiography poems, and finally.....a number of students got their first taste of our new 1:1 computers. It was an exciting day.
