Another full day - Wednesday, August 20th

Yesterday , students met my older son, Jordon, and today my husband, Siva, popped in to meet the kids before he headed off to the other side of the continent.  There is just one more two-legged family member left.

Today started with a little grammar then quickly shifted to building 3-D models and drawing 2-D representations.  It is also tonight's homework.  Don't be in a hurry to help, let students struggle with this, we did lots of practice today.  They must use a pencil.

We finished an article on the invention of the zipper.  Students are bringing it home to re-read and find words or phrases that they don't understand.  You might find the article interesting for discussion.

We considered the ethical issues around the Inuit seal hunt and started a science experiment.  The students topped their day off with Miss Edgar and PE.

Happy Wednesday!

Homework

Math:  Drawing cuboids worksheet
Language Arts:  Re-read "Zipper" and circle unknown words; Finish autobiography poem
